WHO IS GLITCH?
Glitch sits down.
GLITCH“Before we start, I'd like to correct a few misconceptions.”
Ditch looks at Merge.
DITCH“She has notes.”
GLITCH“I do not have notes.”
DITCH“You have notes.”
Glitch puts her phone face down and gives him a look.
GLITCH“Ask the first question.”
Ditch smiles.
WHY DO YOU SOUND LIKE YOU WANT TO KILL SOMEONE?
Glitch pauses.
GLITCH“Okay. So we're starting there.”
Apparently.
GLITCH“My voice needs contrast. I don't want pretty. I don't want angry. I want both.”
Gen from Genitorturers was an early influence. Not just the voice. The attitude, the provocation, the theatre of it all. Gen doesn't simply perform a song. She creates a character, an image, a whole fucking world around it. Then Alissa White-Gluz.
Power and control, obviously. But again, it's bigger than the voice. She's artistic, visual, theatrical. There's thought behind how the music looks and feels, not just how it sounds.
And now there's Blue Medusa, Alissa's new project, pushing that contrast even further. Beauty & Beast. Light against dark. Melody against something much heavier. Two opposing voices that don't cancel each other out. They make each other more interesting.
Glitch smiles.
GLITCH“That's the part I like.”
The contradiction?
GLITCH“Exactly.”
Beautiful doesn't have to mean soft. Aggressive doesn't have to mean one-dimensional. And dark definitely doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with it.

Ditch looks at her.
DITCH“So which one are you? Beauty or Beast?”
GLITCH“Beauty.”
Ditch smiles.
DITCH“I've seen you before coffee. Just saying.”
GLITCH“Fuck you.”
Glitch chuckles and shakes her head.
GLITCH“Okay. Fair.”
WHAT DO PEOPLE GET WRONG ABOUT YOU?
GLITCH“That I'm angry.”
Ditch looks at her.
DITCH“You do say fuck a lot.”
GLITCH“That's punctuation.”
Ditch tries not to smile.
DITCH“Fair.”
Glitch thinks for a moment.
GLITCH“I think people confuse intensity with anger.”
That feels closer. Glitch is probably the most emotional of the three. Not emotional in the crying-in-the-corner sense. She gets excited. Loud. Curious. Protective. She laughs easily. And unlike Ditch, she doesn't immediately need to do something with every feeling. Sometimes she just wants to feel it. “Someone has to,” she says. Ditch looks at her.
DITCH“What does that mean?”
GLITCH“You turn everything into action. Merge turns everything into analysis.”
Merge considers this for a second, then nods.
MERGE“Accurate.”
Glitch shrugs.
GLITCH“I just let things hit me.”
DITCH“And then?”
A small smile appears.
GLITCH“Then I decide if I want to hug it, fuck it or destroy it.”
Ditch stares at her for a beat. Then he nods.
DITCH“There she is.”
Glitch grins.
WHAT WOULD SURPRISE PEOPLE ABOUT YOU?
GLITCH“That I'm an optimist.”
Ditch looks at her.
DITCH“You?”
Glitch's smile disappears. She gives him a long look.
GLITCH“Yes. Me.”
Ditch wisely says nothing. Glitch still gets genuinely excited about things. New experiences. New ideas. Going somewhere she's never been. Doing something she hasn't tried before. She hasn't lost that. Merge smiles.
MERGE“That's actually rather sweet.”
Glitch looks at him, caught slightly off guard. Then she smiles too.
GLITCH“Careful. I have a reputation.”

WHO TAKES CARE OF THE OTHERS?
Glitch points at herself.
GLITCH“Me.”
Ditch nods immediately.
DITCH“Annoyingly true.”
Glitch remembers things. Something you mentioned months ago. The thing you wanted but never bought. The tiny detail everyone else forgot. This makes her dangerously good at birthdays and Christmas. It also means she notices when something's wrong before you say it. Merge looks at her.
MERGE“The problem is you don't always know when to stop.”
Glitch's expression changes. She knows what he means. She'll put someone else's wellbeing ahead of her own without thinking twice. Ditch looks at her.
DITCH“You know you're allowed to take care of yourself too?”
Glitch looks down for a moment.
GLITCH“I know.”
A pause. She looks back up.
GLITCH“I'm working on it.”
Neither of them makes a joke.
ONE LAST QUESTION
Which fictional character are you?
GLITCH“Tank Girl.”
That was fast. Glitch looks genuinely confused.
GLITCH“Was there another option?”
Ditch laughs. Merge shakes his head, smiling.
MERGE“No. There really wasn't.”
Glitch leans back, satisfied.
GLITCH“Good. We're done here.”
For once, everyone agrees.
Interview over.
